Create Engaging Stories with Canva
If you’re running a small business, you probably already know that social media is a necessary evil. But if the thought of making a fancy video or an “aesthetic” post makes you want to close your laptop and hide, I totally get it. It’s a lot to learn on top of actually running a business.
I made this video because I wanted to show that you don’t need a huge production budget or a professional editor to look good online. I’m walking you through exactly how I use Canva to turn a plain, boring photo into an animated Instagram or Facebook Story. It’s basically just clicking a few buttons to make things move, but it makes your page look way more professional and polished.
Behind the Scenes: I’m not a pro videographer by any means, so making this was a process for me, too! I used a screen recorder so you can see exactly where I’m clicking. I tried to keep it simple because I know how frustrating it is to watch a tutorial that moves too fast.
The main reason I love these animated stories is that they catch the eye. According to Hootsuite, most people view Stories with the sound off, so having that little bit of motion helps stop the “infinite scroll” and gets people to actually read your text.
I really hope this helps you feel a bit more comfortable with the tech side of things. If you have any questions about where I found certain buttons or how to change colors, just drop a comment below!
